Stainless Steel Manual Wheatgrass Juicer BL-30

Stainless steel manual wheatgrass juicers like the BL-30 are a throwback to traditional kitchen mincers in design, modified to squeeze juice from wheatgrass and other ingredients with the addition of a pulp restriction nozzle where a mincer head would have been. This was the type of juicer used when the health benefits of wheatgrass juice were first made famous by Ann Wigmore and its solid and durable stainless steel construction make it an excellent choice for wheatgrass to this day.

Since wheatgrass juice is usually only made in very small quantities, using a hand-cranked manual juicer can be a convenient choice, especially if your main electric powered juicer is a centrifugal model – centrifugals don’t juice wheatgrass effectively. Although the BL-30 can also be used as a travel or camping juicer, we wouldn’t recommend it as a suitable choice for making more than a few glasses of juice at a time.

The additional large hole screen means it’s possible to juice softer fruits like berries – fruits that are also not great to juice in a high speed centrifugal juicer. You can also use the BL-30 as a homogeniser with the included blanking plate for making frozen fruit desserts and nut butters, while giving your juicing arm a good workout!
