The more affordable B1700 Cold Press Juicer from Kuvings may lack one or two of the bells and whistles seen on their flagship models, but this by no means detracts from the performance of this excellent juicer. They’ve saved on a few areas without any loss of quality, so what is it that you get and what’s missing?

The first obvious difference is the style of feed chute on top of the Kuvings B1700. It’s a slightly smaller opening than their premium flip gate lid models but it still easily accommodates juicing apples and very large carrots without the need for chopping. There’s also a child friendly safety divide at the bottom of the feed chute that you can easily push large ingredients past, with the snug fitting food pusher. Other ingredients will simply slip either side of this divide with no need to push. Given that the vast majority of juicers on the market require the use of a food pusher, this is no major hardship in our opinion.

They’ve gone for a simpler, slimline body for the main part of the B1700 which takes up less counter space and it’s got an attractive gloss finish. It retains all the functionality of making juices, smoothies, sorbets, nut butters and milks etc, with the usual range of optional accessories. One product option for the Kuvings B1700 is the citrus attachment which simply sits on the motor top with a rotating reamer like a traditional citrus juicer – this is an option we recommend if you don’t have a separate citrus juicer.
