The Gaia Sprouter proves that growing fresh bean and seed sprouts at home can be an elegant choice as well as a healthy one. Supplied as a kit with three packs of organic sprouting seeds to get you started, the beautiful Gaia Sprouter is hand-crafted in clay with a choice of glaze colours for the lid and base.
We particularly like the balance that the Gaia Sprouter strikes between practicality and good looks. It offers a decent capacity for growing with the 17cm diameter trays and the filter paper inserts are great for growing smaller seeds, or for simply keeping the drainage holes clear of debris for easier cleaning. The porous nature of the clay means that your sprouts will grow in constant humidity, with less risk of accidentally drying out if you forget to water them. Breathable clay means it will absorb water initially and then release it back into the growing environment, keeping the sprouts inside the Gaia healthy and vibrant until you are ready to harvest them.
