In our tests the Tribest Slowstar performed equally as well as many other vertical slow juicers in our range and we really like the trouble they’ve gone to in presenting a well-designed, separate homogenizing attachment. This works better than simply having a blanking screen and using the pulp outlet, which is what most other slow juicers do to make purees, nut butters and frozen desserts. If you feel you would use these extra functions then the Slowstar currently offers the best overall package for a vertical slow juicer
Despite what many juicing websites claim, its’ debatable whether reducing the speed to 47rpm offers any nutritional advantage in the resulting juice when compared to all other low speed juicers, but it does have one plus side. By using reduction gearing on the motor, the torque generated at the lower speed is allegedly equivalent to a 9 horsepower motor, making it difficult to overload even with the hardest and toughest juicing ingredients.
American brand Tribest have been in the juicing business for nearly 30 years promoting health through their excellent range of products.
