Twin stage dehydrator timers that allow a switch from high to low temperature drying are becoming more common, with the higher temperature initial drying period taking care of food hygiene concerns, and the second phase allowing low temperature nutrient preservation.
Each drying phase on the Sahara Dehydrator can be set between 15 minutes and 99 hours, with a range of drying temperatures from 30ºC – 74ºC, the Sahara Dehydrator is suitable for all drying tasks from raw food recipes to dried meats and jerky, as well as being great for yoghurt making and bread proofing when you take some of the trays out to create more space.
With the twin heating element, the Sahara Dehydrator automatically shuts down the second element to save energy when possible. I purchased the sahara dehydrator around three months ago in Stockport and I’m genuinely blown away. I dont ever leave reviews but I googled some Corona virus food-prepping ideas and I it had no feedback yet which is just crazy. It’s by far the most amazing dehydrator ever and deserves a million five star reviews! I had a sedona express around two years ago and the sahara is a whole different league. this was the best purchase in a long time. love it. I saw here that you can buy drying sheets for all the really small stuff. I used greaseproof paper until now but will buy these reusable ones now instead. Probably work much better as well as they don’t need weighing down on the sides.
