With its Hyperwave™ Patented Technology, and Parallex® horizontal drying system the Excalibur RES 10 has two independently controllable drying zones, effectively giving two dehydrators in one and allowing two different recipes to be dried at the same time. Alternatively you can also use the entire 10 tray drying area as one zone, or just half of it for economical drying of a small batch recipe. The twin clear doors give a great view of what is going on during drying, obviating the need to open the doors to check progress which helps keep the temperature stable, and the 30 programmable drying cycles give the option of storing your favourite recipe drying methods for easy recall.
It comes with a dual setting 99 hour digital timer for precision control of two stages of dehydration using a higher temperature to start then reducing later. This ensures food safety during the drying process by allowing an initial high temperature to destroy any potential pathogens in the early stages without significantly impacting nutritional quality.
The wide range of available temperatures covers everything from dehydrating delicate aromatic herbs through to food safe drying of meat and fish.
