Simply freeze the churn from the machine in your freezer for 12 hours in advance, then pop it in the machine with the rotating paddle, add your recipe and you’ll soon be enjoying fresh and healthy homemade frozen desserts.
The Cuisinart Deluxe Ice Cream Maker is of the pre-freeze type rather than the compressor type, so it simply churns the ice cream recipe inside a pre-frozen churn. The churn has enough mass to freeze its contents if you freeze it overnight for at least 12 hours prior to making ice cream. Then you simply add the rotating paddle, pop it in the machine, add your frozen dessert recipe and switch on.
