- UK Juicers Says
Seed and Bean Sprouts are living foods which are most commonly eaten raw (or very lightly stir-fried) to preserve the maximum nutritional content that is unleashed when the seed has just germinated. It’s easy to keep your own supply of fresh, living sprouts available with the GEO Sprout Jar and in our opinion this familiar method of growing bean sprouts is also one of the best. The sprouting jar offers an attractive, self-contained solution for anyone who loves bean sprouts and it provides one of the easiest sprouting methods for a number of reasons. This practical and appealing sprouting jar comes with a free pack of Alfalfa to get you started.

Great sprouter
Having used a plastic tray sprouter for years and spent much time cleaning (and swearing!) spotted these jars and ordered 2, they arrived promptly, well packaged, and they are excellent. We have been using them for a few weeks, so easy to clean, no swearing! 🙂

Not sure
Loved it on arrival. Did what it said. But then I noticed the ceramic crazing and then the mesh fell out of one of the ones I bought. And they’re not that old

Just great!
I’ve had a few different types of sprouters, mostly the smaller, 3-tiered plastic ones. I found that alfalfa seeds in particular got caught in the grooves and were difficult to remove. The jars are great. Pop the seeds in; cover with water and leave overnight; rinse. Rinse twice daily and turn upside down to drain. SIMPLES1 The mesh sits between a platic inner rim and a metal outer rim. Plenty of air to circulate around the seeds. Easy to clean. I use a couple of tablespoons of mixed seeds in one jar, and use another jar for sunflower seeds as these tend to be larger. I have 4 jars in all, so that I can sprout the seeds a few days apart, so that I have a continuous supply for smoothies or salad.

I love this!
I have just bought another one as a gift. This is very well made and with the ceramic tray, looks lovely on the side in the kitchen too, Very happy with this. Would highly recommend – it is also a very good price for the quality too.

Poor quality weak plastic thread on lid
I gratefully bought one of these Geo spouters and the Gefu sprouted jar (£10 more expensive) during lockdown–thank you UK Juicers!
The stand and glass jar are sturdy and feel durable but the inner lid does not match the rest of the components for quality. Whilst the outside of the lid and the mesh appear to be metal, the inside of the lid, ie the whole thread mechanism is made of a poor quality plastic. Although I have only had it for about 2-3 weeks, the inner plastic thread and metal outer have already become separated, ie I can spin the outer metal part and it does not tighten the lid. This is such a shame and I feel that it may shortly become unusable unless I can find an alternative lid. If I can find a good lid then I will be very happy.
My last sprouting jar had a plastic lid with a steel
