GEO Organic Chia Seeds (400g Pack)

GEO Organic Chia Seeds in a 400g resealable pack are some of the best quality sprouting seeds available. Of Mexican origin, Chia is one of the basic ingredients of the Aztec staple diet. Chia is very rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and is even superior to Flax in terms of anti-oxidants, minerals and vitamins. The shoots have an excellent, fresh and just slightly pungent taste. Chia is among the most mucilaginous seed group and should therefore be soaked in water for only 5 minutes. The seeds will thus be immersed in a jelly-like mass which is placed directly onto the sprouter. If necessary, the back of a teaspoon can be used to spread the seeds in a thin layer. Until sprouting begins the seeds just need to be sprayed with water occasionally to keep them moist and humid. This can then be increased as the shoots begin to develop.
